Welcome to the world of Orchid, a chamber piece set in a distorted and stylized mid-century United States. The design focuses on quintessential 60s aesthetics while also highlighting sci-fi influences of the 50s. The ‘suburban jungle’ motif is apparent, often invoked through overt imagery of greenery and beasts. It asks us to question repressed American society and “what is the emotional toll it takes?”.
